I love coming here on a cold day for a warm and hearty meal! I've been coming here for the past 3 years, especially since I used to live down the street. The restaurant is in a small, unassuming plaza in a pretty residential area, so it's easy to miss. The interior is nothing to write about, it's small with about a dozen tables that can get a little cramped when it's completely full.

When I want a warm soup on a rainy day, the galbi tang always hits the spot. The soup is light with a subtle beef bone flavor. There is usually 3-4 beef ribs in the soup to supplement the rice and soup. Rip the meat off the bone and dip it into the vinegar sauce! The punch of acidity provides a nice contrast to the subtle flavors of the soup and meat. I always season the soup with salt and pepper to bring out new notes of flavor.

If I'm feeling a more flavorful and meaty dish, I'll order the galbi jjim. It's a braised short rib dish that is sweet and has a little kick. The rib meat is tender and fall off the bone. The dish includes rice cakes which goes well with the spicy gochujang sauce.

The meal comes with a couple ban chan, usually cabbage with bean curd suace, kimchi, picked radish, and fish cakes. The selection is limited, but you can get unlimited ban chan and rice refills!

The service can be pretty hit or miss, often times there will only be one or two servers and getting their attention can be difficult when it is busy. Overall, this is a good spot to get some homey Korean dishes, especially when the temperatures start dropping!

I've been to this restaurant three times now in the past 2 years or so. The food has been great. It is just very busy because there are only a few wait staff that is serving a whole room of customers.

I wish the service can be a little better but other than that no complaints.

I'm sorry but I can't come here anymore.

Maybe I'll report them to the health department.

One time order a while ago  with hair I can understand.

But that alone is pushing it. Gordon Ramsay would be furious.

Today is Saturday, sep 28th. We ordered Togo around 11:30 and used post mates.

We got 2 Mandu soups and one order of 5 mandus.

We found a hair in one order of mandu soups again!

Attached is a photo. So sad loves this place but never coming back.

    Early dinner in Irvine...

My friend, Van, is so thoughtful!  She noticed that I hadn't had Korean cuisine in a while, so, she suggested that we meet here for dinner!  Excellent  choice!

Seoul Haus has free parking, friendly service, and great food!  Luckily, we went early before the crowd and got a table right away. I understand that later on in the day, there's a line to get in!

I ordered Dinner Combination A: cold noodles and bulgogi. At first, I didn't think that I would be able to finish everything, but it tasted so good!  The noodles were refreshing, tasty, and satisfyingly chewy!  The meat was boneless, tender, and flavorful!  It seemed almost like the meat had been ground up prior to cooking because it was so easy to eat!

I really enjoyed our meal here and I thank Van D. for another happy foodie adventure!

On my first attempt to Seoul Haus for dinner there were so many people waiting to be seated, I knew I had no chance of a quick dinner that night. I thought to myself, *wow this place must be delicious* for so many people to wait for seating. When the lovely Nadine C was in town, I figured it was a good opportunity to impress her with a popular restaurant for an early dinner with Alana M and me.

We got there early enough to beat the dinner crowd. The menus serve a dual purpose as a place mat. Chopsticks and spoons are in a box on each table.

After studying the menu, Nadine C decided to get the Dinner Combo A ($20.99) which comes with Cold Noodles and Bulgoki. Alana M decided to get the Bulgoki Hot Pot ($13.99). I am sure you can refer to their reviews for their opinion of their food and overall experience.

It was a hot summer day so I decided to get the Bibim Naeng Myun ($11.99) which is the cold buckwheat noodle with sweet and spicy chili sauce. I personally do not feel like it was spicy at all, but those who are sensitive to spices may feel otherwise. This particular bowl of cold noodle was topped with a few thin slices of beef, thin slices of radish, cuts of zucchini and topped with half a boiled egg. I felt like the broth was not as flavorful as others I have tried and the noodles were a bit overly chewy. Quite honestly, I just prefer the Cold Noodles from Kaya down the street. The price margin is about the same as other businesses in the area that offer cold noodles.

When I go to a Korean restaurant, I always look forward to side dishes. However I found myself less eager to eat the side dishes they had to offer here on the particular day of our visit.

The food was definitely enjoyable, but far from being my favorite Korean spot in Irvine.
